WORLD WATER DAY - 22ND MAY
Join us on Tuesday 22nd May for a global celebration of water; the fundamental building block of life. People all around the world will be expressing their thanks to water, focusing on its important role in our lives, as well as all of the other species that we cohabit with.
This year, we will be running an event by the River Medway to connect people to the River, but also as a community. The event will include art-based activities, water offerings, music and scrumptious food!
5:30-7:30pm -- Tuesday 22nd March
Location: Tablehurst Farm (directions & pin will be added soon!)
SCHEDULE
5:30 - 6:30 pm: Creative Water with Sarah Joy
Connect to the waters through sensory connection, movement and creative play. This workshop will explore the use of colour and form to create collective flowing/weaving river art piece. The practice inspires a deeper connection with water, inviting it into our being so the wisdom and healing quality of the waters can be felt by us all.
6:30 - 7:30 pm: Water Ceremony with Ellen Kittredge and Singing by Alice & Taïs
Drawing upon her extensive studies in the High Andes of Peru, as well as deep experiences with nature connection, Ellen will facilitate a water ceremony to give thanks to the River and all that she gives us. It will include nature-based offerings (e.g., flowers), so feel free to bring anything that you wish to give to the River.
Food and warm drinks will be served from 6:30pm. Please bring a bowl, mug and cutlery, as we will not be providing disposables. Thank you.
