Information

Join us in celebration of World Rivers Day - a moment where people all around the world gather to give thanks and take action for our beloved rivers.

This year, we (along will other groups all around the world) will be running a bioblitz (10am to 12pm) to record the different species that live in/around the river; as well as many other family-friendly activities. Other activities include: nature-based art workshops; singing; storytelling; and a flower offering rooted in ancient Andean practices. Programme timings TBC.

If you plan to join us for the bioblitz, please download the iNaturalist app before the event as signal/wifi will be limited.

Please consider bringing flowers and any other nature-based offerings that you wish to give to the River.

Food & Drink

Lunch will not be provided, so please bring a picnic if you are joining for the earlier part of the day.

Food and drinks will be on offer from 6:30pm. Please bring a bowl, cup and cutlery to avoid the use of disposables. Food/refreshments will be limited to availability, so please book via this link.‍

Location/Parking

The event will take place by the River Medway on Tablehurst Farm (RH18 5DP). Free parking will be available at the Tablehurst Farm car park all day.

Directions

From Tablehurst Farm car park, follow the little path (opposite the summer cafe) to the  bridge that goes over the small stream. Cross the bridge and then cross the field. Cross the second bridge into the second field. Take the first left (there will be a sign) into the big field. Find us by the big oak tree by the River.
