On Saturday the 22nd of March 2025, in recognition and celebration of the festival of OstaRa, Friends of The River Medway warmly invite all to join us in a ceremony of deep feeling and giving to the Waters of our community.
Ellen Kittredge, ceremonialist and nature mystic, and J M Julia, Elder and Keeper of the Ancient Wealdland Way Tradition, will be coming together, to again combine ancient and beloved practices of the Andes and of the Brythonic Isles.
All gathered will be invited to participate in bringing forward a unique and heart-powered creation; a Despacho (Andean Nature Offering) and great growing seed of potential crafted from local Wealdland Clay, which we will fill with our personal seeds of loving intent and prayer.
OstaRa offers us all in equality the opportunity to celebrate and work with the energy of New Growth and transformation.
Our decorated creation and Despacho will be gifted to the Waters, sending out into the River Medwway and to the world, our Heart filled seeds of love, hope and a vision of the New World that we are all seeking to grow together.
Following our Ceremony, there will be a sharing of the details of the River Medway Pilgrimage – From Source To Sea including information as to how you can get involved.
We will gather aside the Club House on the banks of Weir Wood Reservoir at 2:30 PM to commence our Ceremony at 3:00 PM
We ask that you bring flower offerings if you feel drawn to do so - clay will be provided.
There will be refreshments for after our Ceremony including hot drinks.
If the weather is inclement – there will be the option to hold our Ceremony indoors.
There is ample car parking next to the Club House - please follow signage.
