FRIENDS OF THE RIVER MEDWAY + FRIENDS OF WEIR WOOD PRESENT:
BIRDS OF THE MEDWAY
27th February
10am to 12pm
Meeting point: upon reservation
It is heron nesting season and their babies are on the cusp of being hatched! Join us on Sunday 27th February (10am-12pm) to learn about the wonderful birds and species that inhabit the Weir Wood Reservoir.
Tom from Friends of Weir Wood will be giving us a tour around the reservoir, pointing out and identifying the different species that decide to show themselves on the day — potentially including some baby herons!
Please bring:
Binoculars
Warm clothes and waterproof footwear
Pen and paper to jot down the different species
Refreshments e.g. cake and flapjacks will be provided, but please bring donations so that we can continue our vital work of restoring the River Medway back to good health and vitality.
This is a free event, but please contact hello@formedway.org if you – and any other friends/family – would like to join as there are limited spaces available!
