Thank you so much to everyone that came on Tuesday for World Water Day 2022; it was such a beautiful event. First, we started with the creative weavings of Sarah Joy, who facilitated the creation of individual drawings and paintings, which were then lined up to form a River of Art. This was followed by a magical ceremony, rooted in Andean traditions: Ellen Kittredge led us into a wonderful honouring of the river, symbolised in offerings of grains and legumes from this land, as well as flowers. Alice and Taïs supported the ceremony with enchanting, improvised sounds, all of which created a very special space. It was so moving to see how many people felt inspired to come and honour the River and waters as a community and we can't wait to do more.
We would also like to say a very special thank you to Tablehurst Farm for letting us do the event on their land; to Brambletye Fruit Farm for donating amazing biodynamic apples, onions, leeks, mushrooms and to Good & Green for the delicious pastries and bread - all of which contributed to our wonderful feast! It is so heartwarming to feel the support from so many different members of the community.
